The Rockledge Park Racquet Association, Inc. was established on the 31st day of August 1993.  Its purpose, as stated in the articles of incorporation, is the development of tennis, as a means of healthful recreation and physical fitness with emphasis on good sportsmanship and maintenance of rules of play, and promoting amateur athletes for competition in racquet sports.  Article II, paragraph 1. of the By-Laws adds that the above activities shall also promote the fellowship and commingling of its members within the meaning of section 501(c) (7) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
